Manuel José Damásio

Manuel José Damásio is Associate Professor and Head of the Film and Media Arts Department at Lusófona University, where he is also a researcher and member of the CICANT Board (Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture, and New Technologies). He has vast experience in consulting and production in several areas of audiovisual and multimedia production. He is the Chair of GEECT – the European Association of Film and Media Schools, a member of the CILECT Executive Committee and a member of the European Film Academy. Damásio is author of 3 books and more than 30 articles in international scientific journals with peer-review, on topics related to innovation in the production, distribution and reception of cinematographic and audiovisual content. He is the coordinator of the Film EU Alliance

Victor Fajnzylber

Victor Fajnzylber is an academic, filmmaker and researcher in immersive languages, Director of the Virtual Realities Laboratory (VR-LAB) at the University of Chile, where he develops transdisciplinary scientific research activities and audiovisual artistic creation. As a researcher he has directed projects that combine cinema, sociology, computer graphics and neurosciences, conducting experimental research on ocular behavior, stereoscopic image and virtual reality. He has participated in and organized international conferences on immersion. In 2013 he published “La imagen táctil”, the first book on 3D cinema in the Spanish language, and wrote, as the first author, more than twenty publications on immersive languages and cinematic perception. As a filmmaker, he has directed films in fiction, documentaries and experimental audiovisual installations.
